Woodshed is built on one simple idea: your recordings are yours. This policy explains what data the app accesses and what happens to it. The short version is that nothing leaves your device except to your own iCloud storage, and nothing is shared with anyone.
Nothing. Woodshed does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on any server controlled by the developer. There are no analytics, no crash reporting services, no advertising SDKs, and no third-party services embedded in the app.
Videos you record in Woodshed are stored locally on your device in the app’s private storage. If you have iCloud Drive enabled on your iPhone, recordings may sync to your personal iCloud account so they are available across your devices. This sync is handled entirely by Apple’s iCloud infrastructure — the developer has no access to your iCloud storage or the recordings in it.
You can delete recordings at any time from within the app. Uninstalling Woodshed removes all locally stored data.
Woodshed requests access to your camera and microphone solely to record videos when you initiate a recording. The app does not access your camera or microphone in the background or at any other time.
If iCloud Drive is enabled, Woodshed uses Apple’s CloudKit and iCloud Drive APIs to store and sync your recordings across your own devices. Your data is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy with respect to iCloud storage. The developer cannot access, read, or retrieve your iCloud data.
Woodshed contains no analytics tools, no advertising networks, no tracking pixels, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. The app does not track how you use it.
Woodshed does not have accounts, logins, or user profiles. There is no registration and no way for the developer to identify you.
Woodshed does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13. Because the app collects no data at all, it presents no data-privacy risk to users of any age.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new “Last updated” date. Because no data is collected, any changes are likely to be minor clarifications rather than substantive changes to data practices.
